Yukon.ca falls victim to "DDOS" Cyberattack

Yukon.ca has been targeted by a "Distributed Denial of Service" cyberattack

WHITEHORSE - The Yukon Government has announced that their official website (Yukon.ca) has been the victim of a 'Distributed Denial of Service' cyberattack.

At 12:00am on Thursday, September 14th, the Yukon.ca website was flooded by extremely high volumes of web traffic, effectively overwhelming the system, and denying others from accesses the site. The website has been restored as of 4pm September 14th.

The Yukon Government has confirmed that they have not identified any breach of data related to the attack, or any ongoing threat to governmental systems, government files, or private citizen data.
