The Yukon NDP has revealed three additional candidates for nomination for the upcoming territorial election.

NDP Leader Kate White introduced the three individuals at a virtual press conference this morning.

She says the three candidates come from different backgrounds, but all share similar core values.

"Today's three individuals come from vastly different backgrounds and experiences, but they share core values and a love and respect for the people around them. They want to listen and learn, not only from the communities they wish to represent, but from Yukoners across the territory."

Accessibility advocate and NGO consultant Colette Acheson is running in Porter Creek South. Student and writer Saba Javed is running in Copperbelt North. Local photographer Erik Pinkerton is running in Mount Lorne-Southern Lakes.

Thirteen candidates for nomination have been announced so far for the Yukon NDP.

The next election date has yet to be decided.
