The Eureka, Alaska musher crossed the finish line in Fairbanks early Monday afternoon.
Brent Sass has won the 36th Yukon Quest 1,600 kilometre dog sled race.
The Eureka, Alaska musher crossed the finish line at 1:40 p.m. Pacific Time with a full team of 14 dogs on the line, winning his second Quest.
Sass told the Quest's Social Media, the race was awesome.
"I went into the race with a plan and a schedule. My goals were to have fun, to kill my run on Birch Creek, and be competitive, and we did all three of those goals, so that's great."
Sass says he had three holdovers from his 2015 winning team, and he can not wait for his young team to get back on the trail next year.
Since Sass was the first to Dawson and to complete the race, he also pockets two ounces of Klondike placer gold.
Whitehorse musher Hans Gatt was expected to arrive next, along with Allen Moore, and Tagish musher Michelle Phillips.
Brent Sass is your 2019 Yukon Quest champion.
