Human remains identified as missing Whitehorse man

The Yukon's Coroner Service has identified human remains that were found in the Long Lake Area of Whitehorse in May as 55-year-old Roy Thomas Jackson.

The human remains found by RCMP in the Long Lake Area of Whitehorse have been identified.

After a full forensic and DNA analysis was completed by specialists from the British Columbia Coroner’s Service in Vancouver, the remains were identified as 55-year-old Roy Thomas Jackson of Whitehorse.

Jackson was last seen on September 13th of 2019, in the downtown area of Whitehorse.

Police conducted several searches throughout southern Yukon and northern British Columbia since Jackson's disappearance, and are looking to speak with anyone who has information regarding his disappearance.

Yukon RCMP and Yukon's Coroner service are set to continue their investigation.
