A progress report shows the number of parking tickets issued is on the rise.
A quarterly progress report from Whitehorse Bylaw Services shows the city collected more than $322,000 in parking fines in 2017.
According to the document presented at Monday's city council meeting, there were 19,636 parking meter violations last year, which is up seven per cent compared to the three year average.
As for the parking meters themselves, the city collected more than $562,000 in 2017.
Total fines collected for accessible parking and other traffic violations brought in more than $130,000 for the city.
Vehicle for Hire bylaw charges saw a 190 percent increase compared to the three year average, with 35 bylaw charges issued however, the document does not break down the types of charges.
