Wildland Fire Management says there have been 30 wildfires so far this season, and officials are reminding people to properly extinguish their fires.
Yukon's office of Wildland Fire Management says a fire burning near Watson Lake is now about 550 hectares in size.
The fire began July 6th due to lightning and fire crews, helicopters and airtankers are still working to contain it.
Crews are protecting one structure and are assessing other values in the area but officials say the Robert Campbell Highway is not affected although smoke may be seen in the region.
Yukon has seen 30 wildfires so far this seen, with 10 currently active and more than 11 thousand hectares burned so far.
